glow-in-the-dark, please

Last Friday DeAngelo had to go in for his next check up for his broken arm (remember he slipped on wet grass during math camp this summer?).

The doc had great news: one of the bones has healed completely and the other is well on it’s way. The old neon green cast came off in place of a shorter one that covers his forearm.

During the transition I noticed DeAngelo’s naked arm reeked of moldy smoked Gouda. By the time I thought of asking if we could wash it, the doctor had the supply cabinet doors open.

“What color do you want this time, son?”, the doc asked.

DeAngelo, ever the worry wart replied:

“You better give me the glow-in-the-dark one. It’s monsoon season and in case the lights go out, my family can just follow my arm…”
