Busy, busy, busy!

I’ve been AWOL, I know! There is just so much to get done in such a short amount of time. Because of the American Latino TV segment last week, we were flooded with orders – on top of the stack we already have. Add in weeks of non-stop rain, which slows down glue and glaze cure time, and you have one stressed out woman.

I spent all day in the art studio today, making all kinds of things. It felt so good to get into a groove, a zone is more like it. Like my friend Tracy describes it, it’s that little pocket of time when you are so involved with what you making (painting, gluing, designing, cutting) that you have no idea if it is daytime or nighttime, what day it is, or who is home at the moment…The last two weeks were so hectic and emotionally draining on me that 12 hours of art came as much-needed therapy. I wish I could live like that 24/7, just creating non-stop, whether it’s art, or writing books or decorating the house, or sewing clothes for my kids or hubby. Maybe that time will come sooner than I think. I have nothing concrete to go on, but I have a weird feeling in my bones that a whole new chapter of my life is about to start very soon…

OK, enough pondering! Back to the studio!

Love & light,
