Reviews of ADSL coming in!

Today I checked out Barnes and Noble’s web site and what did I find? The FIRST online review of my book!! And it’s a good one! I hope a sign of things to come…

Also, I now have a blog page on my Amazon, if you click to the book page, you can see it and even comment!

“Intense Internet surfers know that offers the ultimate in Lata-cana handmade art. At the web site, head “Crafty Chica” Kathy Cano Murillo presents a wealth of unpretentious handmade projects, including things like Corn Husk Wreaths and Scrabble Tile Ornaments. Her Crafty Chica’s Art de la Soul contains 30 equally funky, equally fun how-to projects, from beading and paper arts to crochet and sewing. As on the web site, Kathy spices her craft instruction with tablespoons of homegrown wisdom and Latina pride.”

And here are some book blurbs that make me blush:

“Kathy Cano Murillo does it again! With her deliciously fun new book, Crafty Chica’s Art de la Soul, Kathy guides readers through the wonderful world of crafting, with all the color and richness of Latin spirit. Kathy’s writing is fluid, at times poetic, and her advice is straightforward and easy to follow, even for the crafting-impaired, like me. The world of arts and crafts is a cozier, happier place, thanks to Kathy’s glitterlicious ideas, and seemingly endless well of creativity.”

–Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, bestselling author of Dirty Girls’ Social Club and Playing with Boys

“Kathy Cano Murillo has produced a book of brilliant crafts that is also a soulful exploration of the crafty lifestyle. These gorgeous, glam projects taken together with Murillo’s humorous, personal essays, result in a fierce and funny book that not only teaches us how to craft, but also sheds light on what drives us to create in the first place.”

—Debbie Stoller, Editor-in-Chief of Bust Magazine and bestselling author of Stitch ‘N Bitch

“Kathy Cano Murillo, is not only the craftiest of chicas, she is hands-down the Goddess of All Crafts, big and small. Take this book as Glitter Gospel.”

—Laurie Notaro, bestselling author of The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club, Autobiography of a Fat Bride, and We Thought You Would Be Prettier

“There are not many craft books that make you weep with joy. Crafty Chica’s Art De La Soul is one of them. Inspiring, generous and loaded with fantastic projects, this is required reading for anyone aching to bring some funky craftiness into their world.”

—Jean Railla, author of Get Crafty

There are more, but I don’t want to overload you with my excitement! Less than 48 hours to go!
