Hungry, but I won’t give in

As of this morning, I’ve lost 33 pounds! Last night I watched some of my recent TV segments and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t cover my eyes in horror as much as usual. It’s amazing how just a little bit of weight loss makes a difference. In my case, it’s from my face and waist! I’ll take it!

Here’s what I’ve been doing – eating eggs and turkey bacon and piece of toast for breakfast. Eating whatever I want at lunch (usually a salad, every so often a burger) and nibbling on veggies and chicken after work. Nothing after 6 p.m. I’m sure there are better methods that involve a treadmill and sweat, but so far the Crafty Chica system has worked since December.

Tonight Maya had her junior high spring orchestra concert. At one point I thought they were playing the theme song to a Star Trek movie, which was cool in an out-of-the-box sort of way. I looked at the program to see it was actually Phantom of the Opera that they were performing. EEEEeeee…my bad.

After that we went to the grocery store. Never go to the grocery store when it is 8 pm and you are on a diet and are starving because you don’t eat after 6pm. I bought FOUR boxes of cereal, four dozen eggs, two gallons of milk, two gallons of juice, stacks of steaks and a full cart of weird stuff I wouldn’t nomally buy – like cole slaw dressing and antioxident shakes. I didn’t eat any of it though. I’m saving the experience for the morning so I can partake like a renaissance king with an oversize turkey leg.

Well, I’m off to the art room. Tomorrow night is First Fridays and I have a lot of things to make still. Before I go, I have to mention that I got invited to teach projects from my Art de la Soul book in TUSCANY!! It’s in 2007. I’ll keep ya all posted! And those of you considering the cruise, book your spot because the spaces are filling up fast!

Here is a beauty interview I did on Milla Jovovich of the new Ultraviolet sci-fi action flick. and here is another feature I did on her that pertains to working on the movie.

Randy (one of my co-workers) and I are doing more American Idol stuff. Check out our blog! Leave us comments, we like comments!

Here are a couple movie reviews I did recently:
