I’m taking a breather to catch up. I’ve gone almost two months without a podcast, people have asked, so today I recorded THREE. It was a heckuva lot of work, but worth it.
This was such a great week. I got an email from a chica asking for my Day of the Dead Patio Lights. Come to find out, she is Shamsi Ruhe, one my all-time favorite singers. She used to perform in a band called “One” in downtown Tempe in the mid-90s, around the same time Patrick’s band did. That’s when I first discovered her. She moved to New York and I lost the connection. So now I got to chat through emails and she is recording new music!
You MUST check out her music, you’ll be glad you did.
Last night Patrick and the kids and I went out to dinner, followed by thrift shopping (yay, old purses!) and walked off our heavy meals at an outdoor car show. And then I had a dream that Patrick picked me up from work in something like this, but it was bright orange and had a chop top and I loved it (why? I do not know, but it was in my dream…):
OK, on to today. My friend Laurie was in town for the weekend from Eugene, OR and we went to lunch with my sister Theresa. We talked about eating too much red velvet cake, her Prius’ battery and funny people at work. Is this boring? Anyway, after that we went to The Paper Studio, one of the best paper shops in the city! This is the most recreation I’ve had since before my book came out!
Here are some of stories I did for the paper this week:
Well, my computer journey is done for the night. I hear Patrick laughing at SNL and I don’t want to miss out! Cheers until next time!
