This is one of the founding Phoenix Frida members, Keri Plezia (with her niece). She’s at the Frida Kahlo exhibit she just about single-handedly organized by herself! Well, she did have help from other Fridas too. Except from me. I’ve had way too much on my plate lately and wasn’t able to pitch in or exhibit in the show. However, I may find something to slip in there this weekend.
The Phoenix Fridas are the local craft group I belong to. They are a group of amazing artistas who juggle full-time jobs, families, politcal events, volunteering and even illnesses and are always cheery and upbeat. We meet about once a month to chat and craft. Next Friday you can see us on the DIY Network at 10:30 am. You can check out our page here. The show is up all month at The Paper Heart Gallery on Grand Ave in Phoenix. Try to stop by! If you want to met up with other crafty chicas, check out your local craft or yarn stores for group nights. Or just invite some friends or family members over, make it a potluck and glue away. It’s so much fun and it’s a great way to get inspired!
