Our friend from the Heard Museum, Darian, is over right now gluing my headboard pieces together! I’m so happy with how it is coming along! I used Crafty Chica paints, shimmery watercolors, Crafty Chica glitters, Crafty Chica Glossy Gloss Varnish and Tulip Squeeze paints!!! And birch wood! And lots of pencils and erasers!!!
Special thanks to Suzi Blu and her wonderful drawing class – and coaching!! They really helped me with the faces, eyes and mouths on the girls. I kinda ended up veering in my own direction, only because I needed to finish this project ASAP and didn’t have the time to see the next video classes. But I’m excited to see them to use on other projects!

Hello Cathy, I think that headboard is going to be awesome!
I am sorry to go off subject but I don’t know where else to contact you. My friend makes really awesome “Senorita Handbags” you can see them on my website under Flores Friends. Anyway, we both saw that you have a book called: Crafty Chica’s Guide to Artful Sewing: Fabu-Low-Sew
We have looked everywhere and can not find this book to purchase it. Where would be the best place to find this book? We have your other books and we NEED this one for our collection as well.
Thanks,
Carolyn

Looks great ! And wish we had Michael’s over here 🙂
The headboard has a bit of a lotteria feel to it. Was that intended?
It’s FABULOUS! Amazing work. I kinda want to do this now to my own headboard!
I love those colors! That’s what I admire about you Crafty Chica. When I first discovered you, I loved the fact that you used bright colors and tons of glitter.
That looks freakin’ awesome! I can’t wait until you take pics of the WHOLE exhibit(s).
I thought I’d share this gem with you. http://kathblack.blogspot.com/2008/09/because-it-gets-everywhere.html
I hope you take it in the fun spirit in which it was intended.
