Last week I was ultra giddy that I had lost 10 pounds from being sick. Then it went to 15 because I worked really hard to keep it off. I could tell because I could see all the bones in my feet. I really enjoyed looking at them. I cocked my ankles every which way and even took pictures. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any bones on this body.
Well, I just HAD to go get Sprinkles cupcakes yesterday and now my whole healthy habit is thrown off track. I can’t see the bones anymore. Tomorrow is a new day, I’ll start all over again. Except that someone just sent me a gift of chocolate dipped brownies. Seriously. UPS just freakin’ delivered them to my doorstep. I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart, but I want to see the bones in my feet! Maybe I’ll eat a bite of one and give the rest of them to the kids for breakfast 😛
But I did have a totally awesome day today. Actually, make that an awesome week. I get to go to the CCSA conference next month. I get to demo ceramics!!! This weekend I’m busting through my next craft book proposal. I think I have a 100% saleable idea, I hope my agent and editor think so too, you just never know. I’ve written about 15 proposals or more, and have sold only half of those. They are so complicated – you need to do a lot of research to prove that your idea is on trend and will make a book that people will buy. And then you need to outline the entire thing, chapter by chapter and then wrap it up with a fully written intro. The good thing is if the proposal sells, a huge chunk of the work is already done. I’m diving in. We’ll see what happens! If anything, it is a starting point that will lead to an extension of the idea. So I’m clocking in the hours this weekend to get it done and make it fabulous!
Another thing this week: I got an email from my novel editor to let me know that my second novel is due NEXT MONTH! Ha! Luckily, she extended it to January 11. Now I have to narrow down and flesh out three ideas. I have way more than that, so it will be hard to choose. I’m worried I used my best material for my first book! Worry, worry, worry!
Ack, see why I ate the cupcakes?
Peace, love, and glitter!
