No-Sew T-Shirt Pillow

Pardon the lumpiness of the pillow, I didn’t have any stuffing, so I had to use batting, but you get the gist, right?

This project is from Generation T: Beyond Fashion: 120 New Ways to Transform a T-shirt by Megan Nicolay, and it is very easy! You can use an old shirt, or you can take a boring shirt and liven it up.

This started as a white tee that I dyed with Tulip® One-Step Fashion Dye™, and then I used my Crafty Chica® Reusable Stencil™ with Tulip® Soft Fabric Paint™ . The lucha libre iron-on is made from one of Patrick’s paintings. Okay, after all that – time to make the pillow!

Lie the shirt flat and cut through both layers of fabric into a 13″ x 13″ square, so your design is centered. Snip 1/2 inch notches all the way around to create “flaps.” Tie the flaps in knots all the way around. I actually took it a step further and added pieces of yarn into the knotting process. Do three sides, add stuffing and tie up the last side!

Peace, love, and glitter!
Kathy 🙂

P.S. Check out my new novel and Crafty Chica product line!

Love & light,
