Special thanks to our sponsors of the 4th Annual Crafty Chica Cruise!

Here is half of our group. It was kinda a last minute announcement for the group shot, so next year, we’ll plan far ahead to make sure everyone is there! however, there are in plenty of other pictures in our Yahoo galleries!

There was one day when I stayed all by myself in the craft room and worked on my art apron. Everyone else went to Cabo for the day. Do you like it? Isn’t it muy loca? Crafting is how I decompress. The more I glue and stitch, the less I worry and stress. Each one of those items on that apron is a worry that I set free…(only to put it back on again…lol)

Hope you have enjoyed the recap so far! I’ll have detailed blog posts up today through Wednesday showing what we did each day. Heck, I’ll be posting ideas and projects long after that. I picked up a lot of tips and tricks from other crafters in our group that I’ll share.

First I really want to give a HUGE shout out to the companies and indie artists who so graciously donated products and goodies for the Crafty Chica cruisers. I would not be able to do the cruise without them. It truly takes a village! I have zero funding for this event and would not be able to conduct the cruise without their help – it truly takes a village!

My goal for the cruise to is introduce like spirits, foster spontaneity and creativity, support the craft industry and inspire people to MAKE STUFF! I do my best to present easy-to-moderate Latinocentric crafty ideas on the excitement of a luxury cruise. I strive to deliver color, textures, personalities, ideas, and adventures to experience. Also to enjoy the pampering of a cruise staff, and lots of sightseeing and shopping too!

I spend all year putting the cruise together and thinking of fun projects for us to make. It gives me goosebumps to think of all these crafties from different parts of the country, coming together to make new friends and create meaningful art to take home and share. This year we had cruisers from New York, Canada, Austin, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, Phoenix, Prescott, Virgina and many more places!

I’ll be posting directions for the projects we made here on my blog so those of your who didn’t get to go can still join in. I’m still unpacking, but check back because I’ll be posting freebies to give away!
