Patrick and I often call upon each other to help with our respective projects. It’s always a hit-or-miss situation. Here is one from this weekend.
He has a show coming up of his paintings and he built wood frames for all of the pieces. He then woodburned designs, others he painted.
While I happen to LOVE my idea here, it didn’t fit with the “story” of the collection, I guess. But I stand my ground, I love the gems! And I know he does too 🙂
Okay, the ironic thing? He painted this as a surprise for me because it is inspired by the characters in my next book, Miss Scarlet’s School of Patternless Sewing. In the story, lots of gems, sequins, and all kinds of other kitschy sparkle are involved! Therefore I think my frame decoration idea is quite fitting!
Peace, love, and glitter!
Kathy 🙂

What a super cute video! Love it! You too are adorable and that’s a very cool painting…the frame is pretty darn cool too!

Yeah, I always know when I show my just varnished not quite dry fabulously crafted work of art to my husband..and I get *that look*…that somewhere along the way, I veered off course.
Thankfully, I don’t get *that look* very often. But when I do…ugh! Crushing.
