Weekend stuff

This weekend was action-packed! Movies! Pool parties! Brunches! Lunches!

Here are some pics from Barrio Cafe today. We met some friends from the cruise for brunch and to see Patrick’s paintings on display!

Sorry for the grainy photos, I took them with my cell phone.
We met this guy in the parking lot. He drew and cut all these stencils and then used them to decorate his car. The dashboard was painted like piano keys. Wish I had snapped a picture of that!
Bathroom. I am adding this idea to my home improvement to-do list for the summer. I love this simple mosaic tile pattern. I’m going to use all kinds of art tiles. Different sizes of squares. I can handle that. Our front bathroom needs a serious update, and this is it!

I ordered Mexican coffee and this is what I got. YUM. French-press with a shot of Kahlua (much better than yesterday’s Starbucks FAIL). I drank half the pot! It is 12:31 am right now and I’m still buzzing…bzzzz….bzzzzz…BZZZZZ!!

Aw, yah, bring it on home to mommy. Dessert: Stuffed churros filled with sweetened goat cheese, drizzled with chocolate espresso sauce. This followed our brunch of huevos con chorizo…y pan…y salsa…y ceviche…

After this we went to our other friend’s house for a BBQ dinner, which was equally delish in every way! We were FULL by the time we got home in the evening. I didn’t even mention that yesterday we had two parties going on, well, actually three. It was quite the social weekend.

In between all of this, I’ve been working away on my book outline. It is taking much longer than I thought it would. Right now I’m hoping that today’s fancy coffee keeps me up a bit longer so I can get some more chapters detailed. Once I close out the file, I can’t open it until after work tomorrow. I’ll be thinking about it all day!

Okay, getting back to work. Everyone have a super Monday!

Peace, love, and glitter!
Kathy 🙂

Love & light,
