Today’s blog post is dedicated to the victims of this past Saturday’s shooting in Tucson. Such a horrible, unnecessary, senseless tragedy. Here at La Casa Murillo, we are still keeping a candle lit, still praying for strength for the families, the community and our country.
It has been a very emotional weekend for us here in Arizona. I’ve felt lightheaded all weekend. The tears of confusion, disbelief, sadness and anger are on constant rotation. It’s painful to see my community going through these difficult times. All I know is that no matter where we reside, we have to pull through, keep the faith, work hard, be good to one another, have empathy and compassion for our difference of opinions, and be respectful.
We’re all in this together. We need to work together for peace and justice.
We owe that to the victims and their families.
