Life Lessons Graduation Journal

Maya graduated from high school last week and we had a big family party to celebrate. About one hour before the event, I realized I forgot to make the most important element – the life lesson journal for guests to write in! Here’s how I made it super fast!

The purpose of the book is to give your graduate words of advice from their loved ones. Some people write a favorite quote, other will write several pages!  There are no rules. I loved seeing Maya sprawled out on her bed reading over each and every page of her filled-in journal. Some of the messages were funny and others made us cry. Priceless!!

This is a great idea to use for any kind of party – housewarming, baby shower, wedding show, birthday parties, etc.

Supplies:
Blank book (can be hardback or just a soft cover notebook)
Aleene’s® Acid-Free Tacky Glue™ Glue Sticks
Aleene’s® Paper Glaze™
Crafty Chica® Chunky Glitters™  (Sci Fi Silver)
Inspiring quote stamps (I used these from Tim Holtz):

Stamp every page with a message. This will carry the theme of inspiration and empowerment through the book!

You can use yarn to tie a pen to the book if you want.

About that cover. Line it with scrapbook paper, using the glue stick. Add a nice picture of the person who the party is for. Add stamped designs, and your own doodles too! You then add swirls of the Paper Glaze and pour the glitter on top. Tap away the excess and let it dry before using.

Make sure to have the guest of honor write a diary entry at the back of the book too!

Clumsy crafting.
