Fun project to make for your upcoming holiday party! These are thin peppermint hearts made from candy canes!

Supplies:

Mini candy canes

Cookie sheet

Parchment paper

Heart cookie cutter

Directions: Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Open the candy canes and place them like a heart on the cookie sheet. Bake in oven for few minutes until they’ve melted into a thin sheet. Remove from oven (wearing mitts!) and quickly use the cookie cutter to cut into them. Let cool, then snap away the excess from the cut out design.

  1. What an awesome idea! Since you’re scoring them into hearts, I would imagine that you could use any shape. How many other hard candies will this work for? These would make such a cool addition to my current project of candy jewelry. Thanks for the idea!
