Ice Cube Tie Dye & Ice Painting

I’ve heard of people painting with ice cubes and have always wanted to try it – so I thought why not use Tulip One-Step Dye?I haven’t exactly started on clothing yet, first I wanted to experiment with the technique. That’s what this tutorial is about! I LOVED the process and am excited to do more!

  1. Kathy,
What a great idea! I’ve heard of snow dyeing but can’t wait to try this one. I work at an art studio and I’m sure some of our artists would love to try this. It looks easy and fun.

  2. LOVE this idea!! And I have the perfect ice trays to use. We have some trays that are long & skinny made for freezing ice to fit in water bottles. THE perfect size for this!!! YAY!!!! Can’t wait to try it out!!!

  3. I’m new to dyeing and was wondering about freezing dyes to do something like this.
Great idea. I think I will try some frozen in a zip lock baggie laid flat and then crack into chips and also in zipsickle baggies to draw with.
