This 15-minute salsa recipe will change your life – and taste buds!
This recipe stems from my mother-in-law’s salsa recipe. She has these magic hands that can just grab a few ingredients, toss them in the blender and boom! Your life is changed from the flavor!
She actually shopped for the ingredients and made this batch just for all of you! What makes this salsa so addicting is that bite after bite, it grows on you. Just when you think it is too hot, you go in for another bite, then it is just right. From chips to dip, or glopping it on top of tacos or huevos con queso, you’ll burn through a batch in no time at all!
Here is all it takes: You can use canned, diced or chopped tomatoes, it’s your choice.
Ingredients for this 15-minute salsa recipe
1 bunch of cilantro
1 bunch of green onions
Fresh garlic, peel about 3 sections
Red chile seeds to taste, we used about 1/8 cup (add more or less as your taste buds want)
Oregano, 2 tablespoons
Salt, 1 tablespoon to start, add more to taste
Don’t forget cute salsa bowls!
Here’s a pretty picture of green onions in my mom-in-law’s hands. Look at this for a second while I go pour a batch of the salsa and get some chips, because this post has already made me hungry!
I’m back. OK, put everything in the blender. Juicy!
Blend on high for one minute. DONE!
When it’s all done, it will look like this! Taste it and see what adjustments you want to make. This recipe is quick and easy and will always score high points with your family and friends.

This recipe works for us, because we always have salsa on hand for a lot of our meals and we never buy the jar kind. We always use Hunt’s to make this version, it’s like our version of ketchup!
NOTE: If you make your salsa too hot, add some cream cheese to cut the heat, plus it makes it taste even better!
