You can find candles like these at the grocery store, the dollar store, even discount department stores. You can even use other candles because its all about decorating the outside!
Supplies for Day of the Dead Ofrenda Candles:
- Glass Candle (veladora prayer candles)
- Washi Tape
- Embellishments to add to candle (sequins, stones, twine)
- Scrapbook paper
- Glue dots
- Foam dot adhesive (to add dimension to candle)
- Printer & printer paper for images that you’ll be adding to candle
You can do this craft for your ofrenda for Day of the Dead crafts or use images of your loved ones that have passed on and keep the candle going for them all year around. These would make great gifts too.
These are images I designed. They are bright and in bold colors. If you print them on glossy card stock they work nicely in a variety of Day of the Dead crafts, such as banners, journals, even puppets!
