These manifestation heart pillows are one of my favorite projects to make with my new fabrics! So imagine how excited I felt when Riley Blake Designs invited me to come film a video tutorial! I’ll have a post soon about my trip to their Utah offices (EPIC!)!
Here is a link to my Crafty Chica fabrics online, but you can also check with your local fabric shop!
Here is the final Manifestation Heart Pillow tutorial video on the RBD YouTube channel, it came out so fun!
So what is a manifestation heart pillow?
Well, we’ve all seen heart shaped pillows – they are super fun to sew, but this one has a little extra something-something. It has a little pocket in the back so you can write down a wish, an affirmation, anything you want that will brighten your spirit!
Write it down, put it in the pocket and let it go from your mind.

Choose your own version to sew!
This is a nice project to make for all skill levels. It’s as easy as tracing a heart on layers of fabric. Check out the video to see exactly how it goes!
I made these in various ways. I used a sewing machine in the video, but I also taught this as a class as my recent online retreat and we sewed them by hand. We used bright embroidery thread to bring out the colors in the fabrics! I cut the fabric with pinking shears and used the blanket stitch all the way around the edges.
The picture below shows a variety of styles. I used the “la artista” motif from my fabric as the focal point in all of these.
Check out the blog post over at Riley Blake Designs!
Not only will you find more about this pillow (and the template I used in the video), but also all kinds of other sewing and fabric projects!
