Mini-fridge ideas for your craft room

Here are mini-fridge ideas for your craft room that you didn’t know you needed!

Newair recently sent me a 3.3 Cu. Ft. Compact mini-refrigerator that has a freezer, can dispenser and Energy Star. At first, I wasn’t sure I wanted a mini-fridge for my craft room. I mean, we already have a full-size refrigerator in the kitchen, what would I use another one for?

Of course, mini-fridges are perfect for small apartments, outdoor kitchens and patios, college dorm rooms, college students renting a room in a house, even workspaces, art galleries, a man cave, a she shed, etc. But my craft room?

It didn’t take me long to realize it was EXACTLY what I needed! The model number is NRF033BK00, in case you want to order one too!

The best mini fridges are the ones that have everything you need and are affordable. This one is a freestanding mini fridge with a freezer compartment. You can customize storage with the adjustable shelves, and even space for a two-liter bottle. Quiet and easy to maintain, this little fridge packs a big punch!

It’s a great option if you want to go this route.

If you are a hardcore crafter like me, there are long stretches of productivity or creativity when you don’t want to leave the room.

A mini fridge is a great addition to a craft room – it’s perfect for storing snacks and drinks while you’re working on your latest project! Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a mini fridge for your craft room:

Size: A mini fridge is typically smaller than a standard fridge, so make sure to measure the space you have available before making your purchase. This one measures just over 18 inches wide and 33 inches high. It fits perfectly in small spaces!

Cooling capacity: This is particularly important if you plan on storing beverages in your mini fridge. Choose a model with a good cooling capacity to keep your drinks nice and cold.

Energy efficiency: A mini fridge can use a lot of energy, so look for an energy-efficient model to save on your electric bill. This Energy Star Certified mini fridge uses far less electricity than a standard refrigerator, helping you reduce your carbon footprint — and your power bills. The efficient, quiet compressor won’t interrupt your conversation or your sleep, so it’s perfect for one-room living. Manual defrosting is easy with the included ice scraper.

Noise level: I need my room to be super chill when I’m filming and this mini-fridge hardly makes any noise at all.

I use my mini-fridge to hold snacks like veggies, cheeses, bottled drinks, even ice. It’s a convenient way to have crafty fuel for when I’m on a time crunch.

Another idea? A great place to put stickers! As you can see, I haven’t gone there yet, but I plan to! You can customize your fridge using vinyl with your Cricut, you can even hand paint a mini-mural on your mini-fridge.

Another way I use the small freezer compartment in my mini-fridge is to hold eye pads for headaches, and cool compresses for sore wrists.

And because I often have guests over to craft, it’s like our own little party!

Other uses for a mini-fridge

One of the great things about mini-fridges is that they are so versatile. You can use them in a variety of different ways, depending on your needs. Here are a few tips on how to use a mini-fridge:

You can store items specifically for you that you don’t want in the main kitchen fridge.

Use it to store to-go prep kits or your lunch for crafting sessions.

Mini-fridges are also perfect for storing medications that need to be kept cool, such as insulin.

Finally, mini-fridges are great for storing cosmetics. Did you know you can extend the life of some of your cosmetics by keeping them cool? Especially those with retinol and vitamin C.

You can also store nail polish to free it of lumps.

If you are into beauty crafts, like making lipsticks or lip balms, you can easily put your items in the mini-fridge to speed up the hardening process.

Differences between a mini refrigerator and a full-size

Mini-fridge ideas for your craft room

When it comes to choosing a refrigerator, there are two main types to choose from: Mini-fridges and full-size refrigerators. Both have their own benefits and drawbacks, so it’s important to know which one will best suit your needs.

Mini-fridges are more compact and can be easily stored in a small space. They’re also cheaper to buy and run, making them a great option for people on a budget. However, mini-fridges don’t have as much storage space as full-size refrigerators, so you might have to sacrifice some food items if you go for this option.

Full-size refrigerators are more expensive to buy and run, but they offer more storage space, which is ideal if you have a large family or entertain often. They can also be more difficult to move and take up more space, so make sure you have enough room for one before you make your purchase.
