Easy folding: How to make origami envelopes

Here is how to make origami envelopes – it doesn’t matter what size of paper. You can make these huge or mini. Great for gift cards or notes!

Origami envelopes are a creative and functional way to fold paper into a decorative pouch, perfect for letters, gift cards, or keepsakes.

Rooted in Japanese origami traditions, paper folding dates back to the Edo period, when samurai used folded paper to wrap money and messages.

Unlike modern envelopes, these require no glue or cutting—just precise folds to create a secure closure!

Today, origami envelopes add a handmade touch to notes and gifts, making them a favorite for crafters and stationery lovers alike.
