Here is everything you need to know for the upcoming GO Wild 2025 – Wild for Planners conference! I’m so excited to share that I will be back this year on the main stage sharing a sticker journaling session, sponsored by Grabie! I’m so excited, I cannot wait!
Last year at this time I had no idea what to expect. I was invited to speak on a panel about entrepreneurship, and this conference literally lit up my life with so much creativity, inspiration, and new friendships.
What is GO Wild 2025?
GO Wild is a conference that is all about planners, journaling, lettering, stickers, and basically documenting life in the present moment.
From the GO Wild site: The GO Wild Conference, hosted by Wild for Planners, is the premier annual gathering for planner enthusiasts, creatives, and community builders. In 2025, the event will take place from May 15–18 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The conference features keynote speeches, workshops, panel discussions, and social events, including the Opening Night Party and the Planjama party with food and an open bar for attendees 21 and older. Attendees will also enjoy access to the Planner Fair, featuring brand spotlights, make-and-take opportunities, and meet-and-greet sessions.
Additional perks include a welcome bag with a personalized badge, exclusive memorabilia, a conference T-shirt and tote, daily snack breaks, and access to a private GO Wild community.
I didn’t know what to expect when I attended last year. I couldn’t wrap my brain around exactly what people were planning to why they would need a whole conference. But once I got there, I realized that this is a subculture of the paper arts and scrapbook genre. But with mucho heart and soul.

Scrapbooking is all about documenting the past and celebrating memories. Planners and journals are about making the most of daily life and planning for the future. Manifesting, goal setting, self-care, visualization… Everything and more. And it’s all put together with different types of pens, lettering, stickers, and so much creativity!
OK, let’s get into it!
Once you buy your ticket and flight, make sure to book your hotel room, and join the Facebook group. Follow them on Instagram too! That is a great resource to connect with other attendees and learn new ideas and basically get inspired.
What to bring:
I brought a small zipper bag with my favorite pen set, glue sticks, small scissors, and washy tape. I actually did not need any of that because every class gives you a new kit to make in the session. I ended up with a lot of supplies to bring home. I went in with one large suitcase and a small carry-on. I was able to fit everything in those two bags. But I did have to do a little bit of condensing.

What to wear:
There are two ways to go about this. This is a conference about relaxing and having fun. Wear whatever is comfy. However, there is a lot of sparkle action going on with the outfits. That is part of the experience!
A lot of people really go all out in putting together eclectic costumes that shine and shimmer. It can even be as easy as a headband or bracelets. Whatever your sparkle comfort level is, that will be perfect! I wore some comfy maxi dresses and comfy shoes.
Because the event is in a large hotel, there really isn’t a whole lot of physical activity except for going from your room to the main hall. But it still is a little bit of a walk, depending on where everything is located. There are lots of people around to help.
Choosing a table

This is my friend, Tisa’s table. AMAZING!
OK, this is pretty epic. The conference takes place in a very large banquet hall, there will be about 90 tables and each one sits ten people. Each table is sponsored by a different company or artist and has goodies for each person. There is usually a crowd that arrives before the 8 AM opening and there is a line to get in. People kinda race throughout the ballroom to choose the table where they’re going to sit. Every table is absolutely amazing!
Table mate gifts

When you sit at your table, it is customary, but not required, to give table mate gifts. This means that before you leave for the trip put together nine items of something that you would like to give. I made some really fun collage packs with a journal stickers, some scrapbook paper and a little cling stamp. I made it super cute and even added in some spicy gummies. Everyone else at your table will give you a gift as well so you will go home with nine table mate gifts that are all creative and unique!
However, on the second day of the event, you can sit wherever, you don’t have to go to the same table as the first day. There are only table gifts on the first day.

Everyone seemed to have little freebies – contact cards, beaded string bracelets, pins, stickers, etc. Then you can trade with each other.
Down time

There are breaks for lunch and dinner, not included in ticket price. There is the opening party with hors d’oeuvres and tickets for a drink. There is a really fun karaoke sessions and everyone just kinda gets together and mingles. You will find people scattered all throughout the hotel in different groups for different types of interests.
This year’s event is themed around books so I imagine there will be a lot of talk about book clubs and such.

Let me know if you have any questions at all! Hope to see you there!
