Epoxy resin crafts are among my favorite craft genres. It’s a combo of the “reveal” part, the layered texture, the shine, and the fact that resin is so permanent.
Here is my personal collection of epoxy resin tutorials and even a few product reviews.
Did you know there are so many things you can use resin for? Not only coating a table top, but also jewelry making (of course), but I also like to use it as a glue for the backs of my earrings and any other need of REALLY strong adhesive.
True story about my experience with epoxy resin crafts: The first time I ever used resin, I didn’t read the instructions. We’ve all been there, don’t judge! Well, I coated all of my husband’s small clay sculptures and the resin never cured by the next day. I had to hide it from him. I said a gazillion prayers and then read the directions (new respect) and tried again.
I recoated all his pieces and thank GOD, everything cured!
Resin is also cool to coat paper, fabric, leather, even candy.
Here are some basic supplies for epoxy resin crafts:
Wax paper to cover work surface
Gloves, mask (respirator if you use resin a lot)
Plastic cups and stirring sticks
Measuring tools, such as droplets
