iPad Bag

JoAnn Stores has a really sparkly campaign going on for National Craft Month called “Creativity Made Simple” (and a contest too!) where they invited a wide variety of craft bloggers to submit a video tutorial of a new project. Check out the site because you’ll find all kinds of easy, but very clever DIY ideas! I jumped at the chance because I’ve been crafting up a storm for my new iPad mini that I won at CHA in January.

Here you go – here is the video! Please watch it!

Display Rack for Eyeglasses/Sunglasses

If I had a new  jar of glitter for every time I lost my glasses…seriously. I keep buying new pairs and I keep leaving them in random places. I hate not being in control of silly things like this so one day I dropped what I was doing (crafting!) decided to take action and make a darn display rack. I’m proud to say it’s really come in handy! I still misplace a random pair here and there, but for the most part, they are all at my fingertips and I can choose my pair just like I choose my earrings – to match my outfit, mood and clothing color choice!

Astroturf Seat Covers

Earlier this year, I got to visit the home of TV producer, Nely Galan. She’s amazing. She’s a woman who attracts love and abundance and when you step into her home, that is all you feel – culture, beauty, positivity and my favorite – COLOR!

She painted her walls bright white, and used bright accessories for the personality. The balance was perfect and taught me a lesson. My home  has orange and magenta walls with a brown couch and colorful accents, it just doesn’t flow. Now I know why – it’s all about combining neutrals with brights. I’ll have to work on that. Until then, here is a little tutorial I shot on these cool seat covers – what a great idea!

DECODEN: How to add glitter to your silicone!

Today’s project is a special request by several of you who are really digging this whole deocden craft craze. It’s addicting. I’m right there with you! Now, I know the white fluffy icing look is super cool, but if you’re in the mood to mix it up, here is a video I made on how to add glitter to your silicone to get an ultra sparkly look! It’s really easy – just buy CLEAR silicone instead of white!
