These party favor boxes are such a cute Day of the Dead Craft! Fill them with candy, a poem, picture, a small toy or affirmation note.
Write a little love note to a family member who has passed away and set this box at the ofrenda you make for them.
Or you can insert a picture of a loved one who passed away and hand out a box to each family member to open and cherish.
SUPPLIES for this Day of the Dead craft:
– Party favor boxes: Empty bath tissue paper rolls or empty paper towel rolls. You can even cut up a cracker or cereal box.
– Aleene’s Tacky Glue, Aleene’s Tacky Glue Stick
– Crafty ChicPaper (I used my Crafty Chica paper!)
– Scissors
– Small pictures (I’ve provided those below), glitter
Line the outside of the party favor box
Coat the roll with the glue stick, generously.
Then line up the edge of the paper and roll around it until secure.
Press your fingers so the paper stays in place, securely.
Trim the paper, but leave about a 1/4-inch so you can fold the edges inside the roll. It looks nicer that way.
Put the treats inside the box.
Carefully fold over each end into flaps to close the box.
Now it’s time to add pictures!
For these images for this Day of the Dead craft, I shrank down some of mine and Patrick’s paintings to the size of a postage stamp.
I then glued them to solid card stock to create the party favor boxes.
Printable for you to use for this craft (right click, save to desktop, print).

Then it’s time to glue the image to the front of the box and then trim in glitter! This will give it a lot of WOW!
Once you are done and they are dry – they are ready to share!
