My Adventures at WordPress Press Publish

L-R: Ariel, Erick, me, Kelly.

I mentioned last month that I spoke at two WordPress conferences – they were called PressPublish and they were aimed at those who wanted to start a blog or bloggers who wanted to up their game. While I was there, I learned so much from not only the staff, but also the other speakers! I’ll share the links to my these friends. You MUST check them out!

Also, I’m sharing my video Q&A with Marjorie Asturias, a WordPress Happiness engineer and author of the blog, Mad About the Dogs!

OK, go leave a comment and say hi on these fabulous bloggers’ sites and tell them Crafty Chica said HI!

Minority Nomad: World travel from a minority perspective. Erick Prince is a former US Air Force Aerospace Engineer who is on a mission to become the first African America to visit every single country in the world. Not only that, but he blogs a LOT about the details of each and every trip. His excitement leaps off the screen and will make you feel like you are part of adventure.

Offbeat Bride: Ariel’s site name tells the story! Disenchanted at the lack of diversity in the wedding industry, she created her brand to cater to..well, the lovable offbeats! Those of us who might want reggae-inspired party favors, or who knows what else. It doesn’t matter what degree of offbeat you are, you will find something to smile about on her site! She offers ideas, storytelling, entertaining articles, DIY and more!

A Girl Worth Saving: Kelly Bejelly is all about the paleo lifestyle, and she delivers her content in an approachable, relatable way. Yes, she offers recipes, but also beauty tutorials and she has a podcast!

L-R: A really nice blogger and artist who joined us, Emily, Katherine and me.

Katherine Fritz: Katherine is a blogger at I Am Begging My Mother Not to Read This, an author and columnist for MTV.com – this girl will make you laugh, and then stop and think – wow, she has a really valid point on that topic. And…she is also a costume designer!

The Waiting Blog: Emily Austin’s blog is an insightful and also comical take on motherhood, marriage and still rocking your own exciting life. She shares the ups and downs and everything in between.

I can totally see why Andrea from WordPress.com hired these personalities to present at Press Publish. They each have a bright, creative POV on life and document it all in high quality blogs. I hope you’ll take time to visit them!

One thing we all had in common – we all use WordPress! And while I was at these events, I posted on social media for people to comment with questions they wanted me to ask the WordPress folks. I did my best to find out the answers!

I sat with the lovely Marjorie Asturias and asked them! Here is the link if you can’t see the video.
