‘Forever Frida’ Online Art Retreat

The Forever Frida Online Art Retreat celebrates the spirit of beloved Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo (1907-1954).

I wrote a best-selling book called Forever Frida (hardback, Adams Media/Simon & Schuster, 2019) and it serves as the foundation for this retreat! I will share my favorite Frida stories not only from the book, but from my extensive research.

I didn’t have room to add everything, but saved ALL my notes.

The projects are themed around Frida's style.

To me, I love to connect with the playful side of Frida. Yes, she went through a lot of drama in her life, but she also was a lively and comical person. She loved decorating, journaling, and crafting. Her fashion game was strong! We will go beyond painting popular versions of her likeness and create projects inspired by her spirit, personality, art, home decor style, her fashion, etc. This online retreat will be: Friday, July 14th, 6-9 pm (PT) Saturday, July 15, 11 am-5 pm (PT) It will be held via Zoom, and a recording link will be available post-event. Boxes will be shipped by July 8th.

This is something I started doing for each retreat. It is how we close out the event, and it is super easy, but still fun!  Workshop supplies: Kit for each class. Art collage sheet Guided instructions Art print Signed copy of Forever Frida book (if you already have the Forever Frida book, you can sub with The Crafty Chica Creates book) Limited spots because I’ll be packing and shipping the kit boxes, I want to keep it manageable! 

This package has a retail value of $1500+ if I were to teach all these classes in-person and sell the merch items individually, but I’m pricing it at $179 because this is a special event to me!

Scissors (required), favorite  paintbrushes (optional), hot glue gun (optional)- and whatever personal embellishments you want to use. Also consider a ruler, bone folder.
