A way to do this is to use traditional brights often found in traditional Mexican designs. However, don’t forget that Mexico is also known for beautiful neutrals.

Along with being the colors in the Mexican flag – red, green, and white are commonly used to symbolize joy, hope, and purity during the holiday season.
This color combo is so iconic and of course, perfect for all year round!
Ribbon and Fabric Choices
Ribbons and textured fabrics are important things to include in your Latin-inspired tree. Think wide wire ribbons in bold beautiful colors to create cascading bows and streamers that adorn the tree.
Using a beautiful multi-colored serape as a tree skirt, or cutting up a full size serape and making bows with it.
Noche Buena Elegance
Christmas Eve is a time for family gatherings, eating all of the good food, and celebrating the birth of Jesus. A Noche Buena-themed Christmas tree is all about elegance and simplicity, focusing on the Poinsettia flower.

To create a Nochebuena-inspired tree, start with a classic evergreen tree and decorate it with Poinsettias (noche buena). You can use any color poinsettias.
The traditional color would be red, but there are many faux-colored poinsettias available in stores, so you can get super creative and colorful.
@firecracker.85 I accidentally added another tree to the living room and stumbled into the poinsettia theme. How does it look? #poinsettia #christmas #christmastree #itstime

You can also paint the poinsettias you put on the tree.
Cuetlaxochitl (Poinsettias) make a great tree topper and decorations too! Wrap them in ribbon and secure them on the top of the tree. Don’t forget the beautiful glittery extras you can add too.

Look for ornaments featuring beloved personalities like Frida, sugar skulls, or traditional Mexican dresses.
And even more contemporary peeps, such as Nacho Libre, Selena, Blue Beetle, Bad Bunny, Walter Mercado, Ugly Betty – and even Pedro Pascal!!!

One fun idea is to hang handmade Mexican pink sugar cookies, known as Polvorones, from your tree branches. Use air-dry clay to make them.
Why not just make the entire tree themed around pan dulce?
Let’s talk tamales! Maybe not the actual edible kind, but you can use the hojas (corn husks) to make bows, garland or the old school angel.
Or mini-wreaths using corn husks.
